Expanding the Team
PAX Scientific recently welcomed two additional design engineers. Kristian Debus has joined PAX as a principal design engineer, with a focus on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) processes. Previously, he worked as a senior engineering specialist with Bechtel and as a regional sales engineer and a lead software quality engineer with Agilent Technologies. Kristian received his PhD (summa cum laude) in mechanical engineering and CFD from Technische Universität München.
In September, PAX welcomed Ashley Peterson. Ash completed a PhD in numerical cavitation prediction at England’s Cambridge University this month. He will spend 18 months with PAX as an associate design engineer, working on both numerical methods and experimental analysis of PAX devices. Ash has a strong background in turbomachinery CFD, specializing in cavitating flows and computational modeling, and previously worked as a combustion engineer at WhisperTech in New Zealand.
Also in September, PAX Water Technologies hired Charlie Wolfe as director of manufacturing and engineering. Charlie has more than 20 years’ experience in new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing operations. He was a senior production engineer at SyntheSys Research, acted as a manufacture and test engineering manager at L-3 Communications, and served in a variety of posts at Hewlett-Packard/Agilent. Brian has served in various senior management roles for private and public technology companies. He has been the CEO of a venture capital-backed technology company and has helped numerous companies commercialize their technology. As a registered Professional Engineer, Jason has managed planning, design, and optimization projects for water and wastewater systems technologies with Malcolm Pirnie and CH2M Hill. PAX Scientific’s Jay Harman and Slim Shekar will serve on the board of PAX Water.
PAX Water is focusing on providing solutions for the water and wastewater treatment industries. The first product, the PAX Potable Water Mixer, is a mixing impeller designed specifically for ground-level water storage reservoirs. [September 25, 2006] READ THE PRESS RELEASE
